In partnership
with the Department of Children and Families, Leas Place needs volunteers
for a variety of programs designed to assist children who have been removed
from abusive/neglectful situations or who have been abandoned. Our programs
include:
On-Call
ProgramVolunteers
attend to the needs of children who have been removed from their homes due
to abuse, neglect or abandonment until a suitable placement is found. For
as little as 4 consecutive on-call hours per month, you can help smooth
a difficult transition.
Volunteer
Friends ProgramVolunteers
are
paired with children in foster care to provide encouragement and companionship.

Advisory Committeethis
committee provides feedback to the Board of Directors as to the effectiveness
of ongoing activities and guidance on the need for additional programs.

BureauAn
informed community is an empowered community. Our speakers help prevent
child abuse & neglect by informing the general public of its existence.
